Do you remove the pencil lines with an eraser? Or edit them out in ps?

It's awesome to see some non-digital illustration. Digital is cool, but this takes some serious skill!! (I'm aware you colored it in PS, but I'm sure you could have done it on paper! ; ))

What kind of brush do you use? Is it a Windsor series 7?? What size?

i'd always wondered whether you used brushes or nibs. not anymore! though i still have to ask: do you use the same brush for all of your lines?

Very cool. I always admire your brush work.
It inspired me to push towards a natural flowing line

rather than an artificial one like Micron.
Even though I'll use it from time to time.

Thanks for showing us.

Wonderful work and we all appreciate the glimpse into the process

from the looks of the scale, it appears these are large format originals - what size are they?
someone else asked, about the india ink, what are you using?

:iconbeckycloonan:

I use a Winsor Newton series 7 #2 almost exclusively, with Winsor & Newton india ink, the one with the spider on it :) This piece is almost 17" high, a lot of detail goes into them!

after the ink, you go straight to digital coloring (for the most part)?

thx for the reply :)
