Background was taken from a recent illustration gig I did, figure was added in for fun. I was really inspired by Eyvind Earle for this picture, so I was thinking more about shapes and colors than I usually do.

Most of this was done in photoshop, except the original pencil sketch (which funny enough, looked absolutely nothing like this!) so i can't say i do much work straight in computer, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

Wow, you captured that sense of noirism perfectly. I mean the way that the shadows dance and blend together on that bridge is just stunning, and the way the man is just slightly off center creates the slight sense of being off put that most detective stories give. Great job.
