I did this a few weeks ago, just never put it up. It started as a doodle and then I'd work on it to warm up every morning for a week or so until I got around to coloring it this morning.

Just a conceptual piece, nothing super special. I have another Somnambulist/Revenge illustration that I've been working on but it's more complex.

Brush and Ink with some quick photoshop colors.

I feel so sorry for poor Cesare, he was nothing but a puppet, yet in his last hours he managed to save his humanity by refusing to commit murder, he had to pay the price. he was doing all the dirty work for his master. I bet he could have been a normal guy with a family, yet until now, there is no cure for sleepwalking

Nice ink :)
Just a little of digital coloration, or
all the colors are made in Photoshop?

All colors on this are Photoshop. I'm not so good at colors, and these I rushed on... I should really go back and redo them ha ha :) I haven't painted in years either, I want to get back to it and stop coloring as much on computer, but it takes a lot of time. Sigh!

Weird, I literally just watched that movie for the first time Wednesday. I've been wanting to draw Cesare ever since.

there are a few movies that really had a profound impact on my art, and "caligari" was one of them.

That bizarre detail of the dagger through her hands is creepy... uh, understandably.
That part really suggests an interesting story behind this whole image... which, alas, I guess is really non-existent, considering it's a "doodle," the heck!
Dammit!

I love the evil, almost Dracula-esque look to his eyes. SO VILLANOUS!:D

Very tense... the mood, colors and composition of the piece all really do it for me.
